Since 2019, the International New Rose Competition has been held in Nyon to showcase new varieties of roses from around the world.
Nyon was the only one of the 28 competitions organised by the World Federation of Roses to include in its rules a requirement for zero phytosanitary treatment from the day of planting to the day of the final judging. Specialists from all over the world come to take part in this competition, with flowers from China, the USA and other European countries.
