St-Cergue is a very popular hiking area, in the heart of the virtually untouched Parc Jurassien Vaudois, a protected nature reserve of national importance of 75 km² between the Col de la Givrine and the Col du Marchairuz. From Saint-Cergue a popular hiking trail leads through the scattered woods to the Marchairuz Pass. The woods alternate with wonderfully colored flowering meadows. The idyllic, park-like landscape and the splendid views of Lake Geneva and the Savoy Alps characterize this hike in the Jura heights. The traditional mountain inn on the Marchairuz pass offers a convenient shelter in case of storms; the interesting park information center is located further down in St. George.
Another popular hike leads to the summit of La Dôle. In addition to hiking, St. Cergue offers many other less familiar activities such as grass skiing, jogging through fields, swin golf and archery. The region is also ideal for horseback riding and mountain biking.
