La Garenne, a popular family excursion destination, is in Le Vaud, a village above Lake Geneva and bordering the Vaudois Jura Park. Open every day, the park is easily accessible by car or by PostBus on the Gland–Le Vaud Zoo route.
Dedicated to the fauna and flora of the region, the 3 hectare La Garenne park consists of an immersive discovery area, a shop, a restaurant with local and/or organic products, games for children and a care centre for wild animals.
During a walk you will discover lynxes, wolves, the highest aviary in Europe with its bearded vultures, marmots, ibexes, vultures and other animals.
There are various picnic areas. The paths and facilities of the park are accessible to people with reduced mobility and pushchairs.
Educational activities, guided tours, birthdays and events are organised on request.
The park participates in several international programmes for the reintroduction of endangered species and places special emphasis on raising public awareness for nature conservation.
