Romantic dialogues: Clara Schumann & Johannes Brahms
For this concert, the Microcosme Ensemble has selected works by two of the most representative composers of German Romanticism, who were closely linked: Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms.
In the first part, Microcosme performs as a violin and piano duet with three romances by Clara Schumann and a sonata by Johannes Brahms. In the second part, Microcosme performs as a quintet with piano, interpreting Johannes Brahms' magnificent Quintet Op. 34.
The Ensemble Microcosme's quartet of soloists, accompanied by two pianists, promises a warm and intimate evening.
