Classical music concert
For the opening of the third edition of “Nyon Classique,” the Ensemble Microcosme presents the magnificent Coronation Anthems, a masterful and rarely performed work by George Frideric Handel.
This concert will bring together 67 singers from the Atelier Choral de Genève under the direction of Raphaël Leite Osorio and the Ensemble Microcosme in an orchestra formation of 25 musicians. Renowned soprano Hélène Walter will sing three Handel arias related to the coronation.
Before the concert, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., the choir director will give an educational presentation of the work for school and conservatory students. It is also open to anyone else who is interested.
