Since early September, the quays have been hosting the exhibition ‘Rolle par-dessus les toits’ (Rolle above the rooftops).
The result of a collaboration between the Culture-Sport-Events office and artist photographer Bernadette Salignac, the exhibition offers unusual views of our town and highlights the details of the Rolle area through graphic compositions imbued with sensitivity.
This exhibition aims to showcase the unique beauty of the Pearl of Lake Geneva. Historical and modern, urban and agricultural, landlocked and lakeside, Rolle is rich in contrasts to be captured and displayed. Its beauty invites you to glide over its rooftops, like a bird, a discreet, swift and curious observer.
Even the most loyal residents of Rolle will be surprised to see familiar places in a new and amplified light.
These images capture the changing mood of Rolle and reveal its lines, shapes and colours throughout the seasons. It then appears in all its superb variety: ancient buildings and modern structures, wild and man-made nature, all traces of the harmony built here between life and inanimate objects, past and present.
Admire the contrasts of Rolle at a glance: the lush greenery of spring contrasts with the monochrome calm of winter, while the multicoloured tiled roofs of our narrow streets rub shoulders with the warm tones of the earth in autumn.
