Le sentier des Alpages - Bassins

This 6 km walk allows you to discover the built and pastoral heritage of Bassins by enjoying the view of the Dôle, the Lake Geneva arch and the Alps.

From "La Pessette", a pasture located at an altitude of 1,173m, walk towards "Le Crot" by the old mountain road. As you climb up, enjoy the view of the Lake Geneva arch and the Alps in the background. Arrived at the "Chalet du Planet", catch your breath and start the descent into the Peney forest massif by a pleasant path. When you arrive at the entrance to the "Bassine", you can admire the dry-stone walls, typical of the Vaud Jura. Continue the descent on the mountain road, pass by the "Sapin Président des Rochers" and take the path that takes you to the "chalet des Frasses". You will then arrive at the Dunanche pasture with its magnificent viewpoint before finishing this loop.
