Wealthy Romans didn't just decorate their walls, they also liked to adorn the floors of their homes with colourful mosaics! Try your hand at the techniques of this ancient art and create your own composition.
Wednesday 22 October from 2pm to 4pm – Are you a Roman?
Test your skill, patience, strategy and luck by discovering the most popular games of ancient Rome. Then make your own personalised Roman board game to take home and share with your family!
Thursday 23 October from 2pm to 4pm – In the heart of the arena
Ancient cities had amphitheatres where gladiator fights and wild animal hunts took place. Come and visit the amphitheatre in Nyon, carry out archaeological excavations to uncover its secrets or make your own shield to protect yourself.
Friday 24 October from 2pm to 4pm – What a pot!
In ancient times, ceramics took all kinds of forms: plates, bowls, cups, amphorae, jugs and much more! Get your hands dirty and create your own clay tableware. You can then decorate it to your liking.
