The Niedermeyer Nyon Association is paying tribute to Edouard Garo by organising a concert at the Nyon Temple on 8 November at 5.00 pm. A musicologist, choir director and teacher, Ed. Garo, who passed away in 2025 at the age of 91, devoted his life to music and had a profound influence on cultural life in Nyon. Two ensembles, the Evohé choir and the Maîtrise du Conservatoire Populaire de Genève, conducted by Fruzsina Szuromi and Magali Dami, will perform works by Niedermeyer, Kodály, Frank Martin, Arvo Pärt and others. Humberto Salvagnin will be at the organ.
