The Esp'Asse Foundation manages and runs a sociocultural center
The Esp'Asse Quarter is managed by the Esp'Asse Foundation, which owns the land and buildings. Founded in 2000, it purchased the former Stellram metalworks in 2001. As a non-profit organisation, the Esp'Asse Foundation’s mission is to provide work spaces at very attractive rates to mutual aid and integration associations, as well as to artists. Furthermore, the Esp’Asse Foundation is actively working to foster social innovation, notably by planning the construction of a House of Social Innovation and Solidarity (MISS), expected to be completed by 2030. Esp’Asse is therefore both a neighbourhood, frequented by artists and those involved in solidarity in all its forms, and an ongoing project of social innovation. A place and a mindset.
