Play Dead — Dance, circus and physical theatre show
The Canadian collective People Watching offers a fusion of contemporary dance, circus and physical theatre, creating an unforgettable experience. In Play Dead, their first joint production, the six artists explore the many facets of human behaviour. The stage is transformed into an apartment, and it is within these walls that the characters meet, grow closer, argue and fall in love. Like a laboratory, this space allows them to explore, dissect and rethink interpersonal relationships.
The protagonists dance, twirl and stagger through a surreal world that unfolds before the audience. The aesthetics of Play Dead have a cinematic component: a dense universe is created in a confined space, in which stories are woven and intertwined in a matter of moments.
The Canadian collective is made up of six artists who conceived the piece and perform it on stage. Play Dead combines acrobatics, dance and theatre. The artists tell stories with their bodies. This first production by People Watching is already an international success.
