To the sound of the bells during the cattle parade in Saint-Cergue!
Every last Saturday of September, nearly 700 decorated cows walk through the village of Saint-Cergue accompanied by their alpine farmers, celebrating the end of the alpine grazing season. To the sound of traditional cowbells, more than 15,000 visitors come to experience this authentic and warm tradition. The cattle parade, folk concerts and entertainment, artisan market and local specialties make the Désalpe of Saint-Cergue the largest alpine descent festival in the Lake Leman region.
