An energetic and poetic show
CIRCUMSTANCES
Beyond is an energetic and poetic show for everyone aged six and above. Six performers test their limits and ultimately surpass them together. Each one specialises in a different discipline, from dance to acrobatics and pole dancing. Using ladders of different sizes, the members of Circumstances create a dynamic and unstable playground for their joint exploration. In his choreography, Piet Van Dycke has them dance, climb, float and take risks.
Together, the artists explore their own limits as well as those of the community and playfully examine how far it is possible to go.
The scenography also plays a central role: the ladders become surprising teammates while symbolising connection. Beyond thus addresses an important and omnipresent subject: how to build bridges and break down barriers.
