Exhibition of press photographs from around the world at the Château de Prangins
Created in 1955 by independent photographers, the World Press Photo contest continues to pursue the same goal: ‘to bring the diversity of stories to the public's attention in order to stimulate understanding of the world’. Taken by 42 photographers from 141 countries, the 160 images in the exhibition depict migration, environmental disasters, drug cartels, passive euthanasia and endless wars. This year, the theme of climate change and its terrible consequences for populations is a recurring one across three continents. The only note of hope in the face of these natural disasters is solidarity.
