Metaphysical clown show

Recommended age: 8+
Duration: 1h05
A clownish odyssey in search of the mystery of existence — perfect for awakening the family’s imagination.
Premiered at Théâtre Am Stram Gram, It’s Beautiful and It Doesn’t Matter brings to life two “metaphysical clowns,” Murphy (Marjolaine Minot) and Quichotte (Céline Rey), who embark on a quest for the meaning of life.
In a moonlike, desert landscape magnified by the trompe-l’œil projections of the Guillaume Brothers, the two wanderers quarrel over existential questions — until they stumble upon a blue chair.
But of course, they’re not fooled: this “chair” may be a trap, a sign, an illusion — in short, an invitation to question the already blurry line between reality and imagination.
Designed for young audiences, this small gem of absurd theatre offers a poetic reflection on our human need to explain everything.
An ideal show for a family outing during the holiday season.
