The duo — singer Nongoma Ndlovu (CH/SA/ZIM) and Swiss percussionist Fabio Meier — fuses influences from all continents to shape their signature Afro Soul Tronic sound: rhythmic, emotionally rich, and utterly unique.
For their new EP In Stone, Nongoma takes the lead on vocals, and the group embarks on a kaleidoscopic mix of acoustic and electronic instrumentation.
The rhythmic foundation is deeply West African, yet elements of hip-hop, soul, afrobeats, and electro-pop intertwine seamlessly.
Vibrant, sensual, and transcendent, the final result radiates the same confident energy as the large-scale paintings of artist Kudzanai-Violet Hwami.
