Comedy show at the Usine à Gaz
One rainy evening in 1987, in Paris.
The great actress Jacqueline Maillan decides to take her own life. Unable to come to terms with the inexorable decline of her career, this queen of the boulevard invites us to her farewell as a final staging of herself.
However, a dramatic turn of events disrupts her fatal plan: she is offered a major role. But it is too late, a cocktail of barbiturates is already flowing through her veins. Like a headless chicken, she fights against fate to realise the dream she thought was buried, that of returning to the stage. Inspired by the life and work of Jacqueline Maillan, the trio of Rébecca Balestra, Manon Krüttli and Guillaume Poix continues its exploration of desperate comedy and questions our ferocity in existing in a tragic boulevard that resembles an ego trip.
