Electro pop and reggaeton-rap concert at the Usine à Gaz
‘Knock knock knock, who is it?’ It's Baby Volcano, of course!
The house is on fire, but the foundations are solid, as solid as the flow and shoulders of the most punchy artist in French-speaking Switzerland. In just two years, the young Swiss-Guatemalan has been booked to perform at some of Europe's biggest festivals, including Roskilde, Les Eurockéennes de Belfort, Les Transmusicales de Rennes and Le Printemps de Bourges. Amidst all the buzz, Baby Volcano has carved out moments just for herself to press ‘pause’ and then ‘rec’. The result? A five-track EP, SUPERVIVENXIA, 90% of which was made alone in her bedroom. It's a way of reclaiming her space, her creativity and control over her world. Mission accomplished. On stage, Baby Volcano's performances are a total experience where sound, bodies and visuals intertwine perfectly.
In the reggaeton-rap vein, LUM will kick off the evening. Of Swiss, French and Spanish origin, she sings in several languages and offers lyrics that combine feminism, ecology and dancing introspection. Her iconic track ‘Binary Code’, released in 2020, sets the tone for her music: queer, committed, intercultural and joyful.
