Morges, Slow Destination

From nature to culture, from local produce to entertaining activities, Morges is a region with many facets, which is part of a Slow tourism!

Located between Lausanne and Geneva, the city of Morges offers a unique setting on the shores of Lake Geneva, facing the Mont-Blanc. Its pedestrian Grand-Rue, in the heart of the old town, hosts the market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Numerous museums also present the culture of the city, including the Castle Museum, the Alexis Forel Museum, the Bolle Foundation and the Maison du Dessin de Presse.

Morges, a city in bloom, hosts the Tulip Festival every year. More than 120,000 tulips bring the Parc de l'Indépendance and the entire city to life from April to mid-May. Then, from July to October, the Dahlia Festival animates the quays of Morges.

The district of Morges, which extends to La Sarraz via Bière, is full of cultural, gastronomic, sports, nature and family activities. Numerous local producers highlight the richness of the local soil, such as the Fromagerie Gourmande, the Moulin de Sévery, many wine growers, some brewers, pastry chefs, chocolate makers, and many others.

Unique places, such as the Château de Vullierens, the Michalski Foundation, the Maison de la Rivière or the Arboretum, represent a tiny part of the treasures that the region abounds in. The public transport network of Morges and its region (MBC) allows you to cross these sumptuous landscapes while taking time to relax.
