The Restaurant du Golf & Country Club de Bonmont offers the opportunity to discover a simply magical domain. An 18th century castle, a 12th century abbey, a huge park that blossoms between century-old trees and groves of flowers with Lake Geneva and Mont-Blanc as a backdrop.
On the menu, delicious butter flutes as an aperitif, an exquisite perch fillet in exquisite aerial doughnut as an appetizer, an irresistible olive bread. The flame mackerel, with its caviar of aubergine, fennel, olives and pepper, makes a Mediterranean and holiday starter. Green asparagus surrounds an ideally poached egg: it's delicious. Then the yellow poultry with candied lemon pays tribute to the primer in half-mourning, but with fragrant bay leaves under the delicately crispy skin. The result is excellent. A notch below, the monkfish in a green pistou costume of romanesco and taggiasche olives nevertheless reminds us of the primers of Master Bovier. And as for desserts, we stay in a simple but effective register, with for example an exquisite salted butter caramel tartlet. Delicious sweet treats. Choice of wines without much coherence, but with some nice finds. Friendly service.
