In Annette, a freedom-loving woman tells and re-enacts her life story alongside two actresses and two dancers. Blending theatre, song and dance, this humorous portrait celebrates the capacity to reinvent oneself.
Directed by Clémentine Colpin, Annette gives the stage to Annette Baussart, an indomitable woman who has repeatedly broken free from the roles of mother, wife and secretary to follow her own path. Accompanied by two actresses and two dancers, she shares her story openly, without taboos and with disarming humour.
Drawing on 70 years of intimate memories and sensory recollections, this playful portrait also captures an era and its changes. Theatre, song and dance come together in a tribute to freedom and the many lives a person can lead. Winner of the Prix des Lycéens and the SACD Prize at the 2024 Festival Impatience, the show is suitable for audiences aged 14 and over.
