Structure of the theatre workshop
Participants are encouraged to develop their vocal and physical expression, as well as their individual imagination and creativity – all through a fun and playful experience.
In three parts
(Typical structure, with variations adapted to the participants’ age and the theme of the day’s workshop.)
Part 1: Vocal warm-up
Participants stand in a circle.
- Breathing and breathwork exercises
- Vocal games
Part 2: Movement and improvisation
Participants explore the space in different ways, opening up possibilities for rhythm and movement.
Group interaction alternates with individual work.
- Passing impulses through the group; giving and receiving (an idea, an action, etc.)
- Themed improvisations (fauna, flora, characters, everyday situations, etc.)
Part 3: Discovering and staging a story
Participants alternate between listening to and performing a story, an extract from a play or short scenes. These are usually contemporary, but occasionally classical, and are selected according to the age and interests of the group.
