The West-Eastern Divan Orchestra will be performing at the Rosey Concert Hall
Daniel Barenboim’s project in 1999 was to create an orchestra made up of young musicians from Palestine, Israel and neighbouring Arab states, with the aim of promoting ‘living together’ in the region. Twenty-seven years on, this mission remains more important than ever, and the orchestra’s existence is a beacon of hope, peace and unity. We are delighted to welcome Daniel Barenboim as conductor of these young artists at the Rosey Concert Hall, at the heart of an institution that shares his values of diversity and sharing.
