Nyon Water Rescue Society
For over 150 years, the Nyon Water Rescue Society has ensured safety on Lake Geneva. Active from May to September, its trained volunteers respond to emergencies, breakdowns, and water hazards. In addition to rescue demonstrations, they also offer water rescue training courses open to the public—an excellent opportunity to learn life‑saving skills. During lakefront events or summer festivities, visitors can often see these passionate rescuers in action—a proud local tradition of commitment, teamwork, and community support.
