Jazz and co welcomes you to a concert by Denis Agenet & Nolapsters
After fifteen years with the band BAD MULES, with whom he won the French Blues Challenge in 2016, he was selected to take part in the IBC in Memphis, followed by a short tour of Mississippi.
Numerous trips to the United States, notably to Florida to accompany his long-time friends Josh Miller, Karl W. Davis and Jim Mac Kaba, but also to New Orleans on several occasions, have enabled him to deepen his interest in Afro-American music and to take part in a number of albums, including 6 with Bad Mules.
With a repertoire drawn from fabulous NOLA artists and covers from the 40s to the 60s, the majority of the set is now focused on Denis' own compositions, with the on-stage energy that characterises Nolapsters.
Surrounded by experienced and talented musicians, Denis himself regularly accompanies numerous American artists in Europe and across the Atlantic (Mac Arnold, Omar Coleman, Tom Holland, Barrelhouse Chuck, Jonn Del Toro Richardson, Johnny Nicholas, Dave Gross, Wanda Johnson, Jimmy Burns, CW Ayon, Chris Ruest, Nathan James... etc.).
