Coppet - Marché
Near Nyon and Lake Geneva, the castle of Coppet hosts a Christmas market of another age for three days. Some 80 exhibitors, creators and restaurateurs take over the building’s outdoor and indoor areas that are open to the public.
During the first weekend of December, when the Christmas festivities are approaching, it is nice to “whet our appetite” with a stroll through a traditional market. The market of Coppet resembles no other. The historical setting plays host to the stalls of artisans, creators and restaurateurs of the region.
Children's entertainment, decorations workshop, Christmas cookies and Santa Claus visits (from 3pm to 5pm).
As a novelty, a new foodtrucks area!
The Castle of Coppet is the only castle in Vaud that is inhabited and open to the public. The descendants of the Countess of Haussonville have been its owners since the 19th century. Before them, Madame de Staël gave the castle a touch of class with her illustrious intellectual guests in the 18th century.
