Nyon - Concert
Semilla Concert - World Music as part of the Week Against Racism
Semilla comes from the verb "to sow" in Spanish, but it is four Italians, led by the Roman singer Lavinia Mancusi, who are working on the mission of spreading traditional notes and melodies on the roads of Europe. The Semilla sound was born from the cultural crossroads that have shaken the Old Continent from one end of the world to the other over the centuries. Depending on the plucked and rubbed strings, the struck skins, it is the Campania of the 15th and 16th centuries, gypsy flamenco, the healing rhythms of southern Italy and South America, the jerky beats of Greek processions that remind our ears. A buried musical memory. Semilla is a sound journey that explores territories, languages, dialects and traditions. An experience beyond time and borders to be experienced in the heart of the Temple of Nyon.
