Literary and musical festival with autors from East and Middle-East
The 19th edition of the LES INTIMES festival focuses on authors from the East and Middle East. Their stories speak to us of their culture, their history and their path in life, through the musical beauty of their writing and their language. The opening date of the festival, 21 May 2025, brings together several events. The first is Swiss Read-Aloud Day.
On this occasion, a bilingual reading will bring together reciters Örs Kisfaludy and Wissam Arbache, who will share with us a selection of fables taken from one of the major works of Arabic literature Kalila and Dimna by Abd Allah Ibn Al-Muqaffa' (Iran - 720-756 A.D.) Greg Podgorski's Galerie d'Art Contemporain will also be hosting a vernissage of works by 3 contemporary women artists. Monique Ravenel-Clottu's patchworks (1933-2024), Monique Kuffer's photographs and Anouk's oil paintings will be on show.
oils on canvas by Anouk Wolse.
These five literary and musical events will also bring together some unique musicians of international renown. You are invited to discover them in this programme, and above all to join them from 21 to 25 May.
Each of these encounters will take place in a chosen and unique venue, where it's a pleasure to come together, connected by a story, a voice, music, an environment...
