Sarah Fleming presents her exhibition ‘Glimpses/Aperçus’ at Rolle Tourisme.
Sarah is an artist based in Nyon. She has always drawn and painted, but having taken early retirement, she can now devote much of her time to what she describes as an ‘addiction to art’. She works mainly in watercolour, a soft, organic and fluid medium. She is inspired by nature and paints from the heart on medium formats from A5 to A4. Sarah has discovered the pleasure of keeping a sketchbook and watercolours close at hand, especially when travelling, so that she can study nature and the landscapes she visits in the open air. Her studio in Nyon overlooks Lake Geneva and the Alps, providing another constantly evolving source of inspiration. Sarah regularly attends long-term art courses, mainly at the St Ives School of Painting in the UK. The experience of this school led her to discover and develop a desire to work in a more abstract and spontaneous way, and gave birth to much of the work presented in this exhibition.
