Nyon - Manifestations
The European Heritage Days constitute, year after year, the only and exceptional occasion to visit our monuments and historical sites without any charges. These places, which are usually inaccessible to the public, offer also the possibility to rediscover known places of our heritage.
The European Heritage Days will be held on September 12th and 13th 2020 and will be devoted to the theme "Verticality and densification".
In 2017, the European Heritage Days will take place in two different ways, including the historic visit by two different people to the Roman Museum in Nyon and to the Castle of Nyon for adults and a playful visit for children following the past of power across the city.
These guided tours will be an opportunity to discover places in the historical past of the city, which in normal times are not accessible to all. This will be the opportunity to better understand the function of the city of Nyon during the Roman Empire and the past of the Chateau de Nyon. The playful visit for the children will take place in the form of a game of track.
Thus, during these two days, all the museums of Nyon will be free and animated on this occasion:
- Castle of Nyon
- Roman Museum
- Museum of Lake Geneva
- Musée romain
- Rue Maupertuis 9
- 1260 Nyon - CH
